What we do not use. No advertising cookies. No retargeting pixels. No social-media share trackers. No third-party advertising networks. The page is built to be read, not surveilled.
How consent works
The first time you visit a page that uses Google Analytics — the homepage and the guides in Learn — a small banner appears at the bottom of the screen offering two options: Accept analytics or Reject. Both options dismiss the banner. Closing the banner without choosing is treated as "reject" — analytics will not run. The free tools, this page and the privacy page load no analytics at all, so they show no banner.
Your choice is saved as a record in your browser's localStorage — not a cookie — so we don't ask again on every page. You can change your mind any time by clicking the Change Cookie Preferences button above.
Because that record lives in localStorage, blocking cookies alone does not erase it. If you clear site data, browse privately, or block storage for this site entirely, we can't remember your choice and the banner will appear again — that's storage working as intended, not a fault.

You can also use "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as an automatic opt-out of analytics, regardless of any preference stored in your browser.
